pushing the envelope

I'm not a morning person. I take 10 minutes just to wake up, and another 15 minutes just to stand up from my bed. 5 minutes to floss and brush my teeth. 20 minutes in the shower is a speed record for me. 5 minutes to dress up then 15 minutes to comb my hair, fix my things, and drink some coffee. I spend one hour and ten minutes every morning preparing for school, so I try to wake up as early as possible.
Yesterday was a typical day. I woke up at 7:30, since my class was at 10:00. It was still too early so I fired up my computer and logged on to the Internet. Time flies when you're having fun, so when I next looked at the clock, it was already 8:30! I turned off the computer and rushed through my morning routine. By 9:25 I was scrambling to get out of the door. I reached the FX terminal 3 minutes later, where an FX taxi was just leaving. Luckily there was one more seat in the back, so I got in and hoped that I could get to Katipunan Avenue in 20 minutes.
25 minutes later I was paying my fare for the UP-Katipunan jeepney; looking at my watch I saw that I had 9 minutes to get to class. 7 minutes later I got off in front of the Econ building. Racing past all the people outside I got in and saw that the doors were already closed! I was already running when I saw a little itsy-bitsy sign outside our door:

ECON 151 UNDER PROF. PUYAT
NO CLASSES TODAY

Damn.
