it's alive!

My old computer still lives! It's a miracle! Hahaha!

I still don't know what caused it to go into a coma for a day.

It could be the sudden temperature fluctuations we've been having recently (freezing in the evening and morning then steaming in the afternoon?!) or it could just be Fate giving me a dose of Murphy's Law.

It could be gremlins for all we know.

Hahaha. Gremlins. What's next? Three blind mice stealing my iPod?

I love my life.

My Communications 100 exam this morning was a cake walk. I spent all of 10 minutes writing on my bluebook and 10 minutes more wondering if it was all a dream.

It was THAT EASY. And I even contemplated studying for the exam the night before. Hahaha.

Of course, I aced the exam. First perfect '100' (for an exam) I've had in years. Hehehe...

Yes, we checked it right away. With three hours allocated for the class we had to do SOMETHING after the SHORT exam.

Yep. So far, so good. I'm well on my way to reaching my goal of a 1.5 GWA for this semester.

How I hope that everything else would be THAT EASY.

so, what's new?

****
I'm really making up for my recent drought of blog posts. Hahaha. Three posts in the span of four hours? Not bad.

Not too bad at all.

I wish I could say the same for the way things are going.

My old computer just died on me. After close to seven years of faithful (sometimes frustrating) service, it finally gave out.

So what? You've got a brand-brand new computer already!

Yes, that's right. HOWEVER, I lost my personal workstation. Hahaha. We put that old computer in my room for my PERSONAL use. It was all MINE. MINE MINE MINE. No one bugging me to get off, no one bothering me in the hallowed confines of my room, and NO ONE ELSE to share it with.

Oooh... Selfish, selfish, SELFISH!

Aside from that, that computer served as a backup of sorts. It was my backup charger (?) and file storage. It served as the prime cramming station in the house -papers written at 2 AM and presentations at 5 AM WITHOUT people badgering me to go to sleep.

Maybe it's just something with the wires. Maybe someone stupidly tripped something. Haaay...

****
That's why I only finished my paper this morning. I had planned to finish it last night, but that was when I found out that the old computer was already having a problem. I would have written the report on my XDA, but battery problems and the lack of a charger prevented me from doing so.

While chronic procrastination was the main culprit, technical difficulties all around exacerbated the problem. Hassle.

Maybe you should have finished it a week ago.

nothing new, really

One page done and over with. Wow. The magic of cramming. I even had time to sneak in a few minutes of Call of Duty 4 and a few videos from YouTube. Hahaha.

My only problem now is how to print the damned report.

Our printer dried up a few days ago; my poor little sister was halfway through printing one of her assignments when the ink gave out.

Back to printing at our friendly neighborhood computer shop. Crap.

nothing new

I'm supposed to be finalizing my BC 100 written report right now, but for some inexplicable reason I can't get myself to even START writing the damned paper.

Yes, the deadline is TODAY. Five hours from now, in fact.

What is so hard with typing a report which took just 10 minutes in class? The resources are right in front of my face, my notes are all in order, and I only have to start tapping the keyboard.

Argh.

fever

The timing couldn't have been worse.

I was forced to skip Broadcast Journalism 101 and the UP AstroSoc G.A. yesterday thanks to a fever which just came out of nowhere.

Maybe it was the two consecutive late nights I've been having, or maybe it was the extreme cold last Wednesday -I was inside air-conditioned rooms for most of the day. I don't know.

My Mom was being paranoid once again. Yes, it was because of the dengue scare last October. Apparently, there are still three strains of dengue fever just itching (pun intended) to strike me down once again.

I feel much better now though. It's a good thing that I have no class today - more rest for the weary.

Well, not quite. I still have a paper for Journalism 109 which I have to pass before 5 PM. Just 600 more words and I'm done. Hahaha. Thank God we finally got a new printer.

Anyway, I have to get back to writing about virtual relationships.

o happy day

Something blog-worthy has finally come up.

After over two weeks of silence on the online front, I now have something new to write about - something so mind-blowing, so earth-shattering as to drag me away from World in Conflict and inspire me to write this blog entry.

Pardon this slight digression, but you heard that right folks, I finally got World in Conflict! Scratch another game from my wishlist! Yes, I now have the top three items on my Christmas wishlist loaded into my hard drive; only Company of Heroes and Medieval 2: Total War remain beyond my reach.

Just this morning I set aside a good two hours to play through the first few missions of the game. I tell you, nothing can surpass the sheer joy of watching a flight of A-10 tankbusters mow through columns of Soviet tanks.

With that out of the way, let's get back to the story. Something so unheard of, something so extreme has made me dust-off my keyboard and start typing this entry.

There I was, walking down the corridor. The door was near and all was quiet. Thank God for a good, hearty breakfast; I never felt so alive on a Monday before.

Again, pardon the slight digression, but I have now resolved to eat breakfast. Before, I have neglected this important meal because of tight schedules. Now, as part of my extremely non-conformist campaign to GAIN weight, I will now make sure that I get to eat three complete meals everyday. It helps that I can now expect a good helping of near-Casa Linda quality corned beef, fried rice, and eggs every morning - with a steaming cup of coffee of course.

Alright. Let's get on with it. The weather this morning was just right. The trip was quick and I even got a few minutes of nap time. Room 209 beckoned. The clock? Well, the clock was at

9:52.

After months of coming to class at least 15 minutes late,

I ARRIVED EARLY.

Yes. For the first time in a very long time, I arrived early for class. Prof. Lambino was not waiting at her table, some of my classmates were not yet in the room, and I even had time to relax. My seatmate even shook my hand in congratulation. Damn.

Hahaha. Now that's newsworthy!

Right. I've got to go. I'll probably have something new posted within the next few days.

That is, if Call of Duty 4's "Death from Above" mission doesn't suck me in again.

Hehehehe...
